The highest single win in the Powerball lottery, $365 million, was won by a player from Nebraska in 2006.
The lottery is played in 42 states of the USA. In order to win the highest class pot at Powerball, the players need 5 right numbers out of 59 and a matching Powerball number out of 35. The chance to guess the five correct winning numbers and the power number is approximately 1 in 175 million.
